Double cast-on stitch

As promised to Hope, here are the instructions for a "Double cast-on" stitch which I used in the red lily on pinup's block. You will need to use a LARGE darning needle and Edmar Lola thread.

Thanks, Maureen, I will have a go at this on my sampler vest. Would a Doll needle be suitable as well?

Yes,Hope!
When I did the red lily I'd misplaced my favourite darner, found my tatting needle too blunt,so used the doll needle---as long as you have a sharp needle long enough to accommodate all the cast on stitches, you're in business!
Also I don't see why you couldn't practise with a #5 or #8 Perle thread first instead of possibly wasting the Edmar Lola thread!
Guess I'd better go try it out myself!!

That sounds like a good idea, think I will try it.
