Maureen's block...
Here is your fan block Maureen... I have done the section with the butterflies... As time is of the essence I will be sending (finally!!!!) off tomorrow to Hope... I have decided not to add to the second block as I know it still has a way to go before it heads home... I think that this block will look spectacular when completed and working on it has whetted my appetite to make one for myself (next year!!!!)... Now onto dreamers block...

The butterflies are handpainted Maureen... I did them the same way as I did Mary's (joma's daughter) I endeavoured to link them with the colours already in the block... I would love to have a go at a fan block but I think it would be a little beyond me... Still...next yeart...

No they are made of fabric - the same kind as I used for Joma's daughter's block - I then painted and overpainted with Jo Sonia paints until I achieved the effects I wanted....Easy peasey - but time consuming... The little flower type things is a combination of french knots and outline stitch worked in a circle with verigated silk thread...
I was a bit naughty and I added some metal butterflies to your second block - I just couldn't resist...Didn't take a photo though - you will just have to be surprised!!!!
