Maureen's Autumn Blocks

I stitched a Jacobean-style pomegranate on the fan block and finished the curved seam with zig-zagged lazy-daisy stitches interlaced with gold thread.
On the other block, I embroidered some Autumn leaves, attached a small patch of batik-style fabric that had an 'M' as part of the pattern, added a button and bead trail and a tiny crystal flutterby above Becky's flowers.

Comments:
Wow, Helen, the pomergranate is great. Nice work.

That looks lovely, is it crewel work but done in embroidery threads? Great work Helen, I love it. Maureen's block is turning out really well :o) I hope you can get some more photos of the other block to load too. Fingers crossed.

Helen
You will bring back heaps of childhood memories for me with the Pomegranate!Did you use stranded cottons or traditional wool?
Looking forward to having my blocks home again,"soon".

It all goes together so nicely!
