Jacqui, I would never of thought to piece a block , then cut out the shape!!! duh.
Do you pad them out a little, or just leave them flat?

My plans are pretty much as descibed by Maureen above - ie to pad lightly - if I had some of the wonderous Timtex I would use that but I may just go with a wadding or sew them and then lightly stuff with toy stuffing - I think I may have made them too small tho' so I need to go back to the swap rules and check that out :)

Jo the first year I made Ornies for a swap on SCCs I lightly stuffed them, but it does add to postage and worry of breakage so the last couple of years I've made them flat and at ronnie's & ted's suggestion used Timtex instead of pellon plus card. And as I learned with the bells, with Timtex they're
washable, which would not have been option if I'd used cardboard for stiffening.
